About The Position

Sodexo is seeking a Dietitian Nutritionist for an inpatient position at Springhill Medical Center in Mobile, Alabama. This is a 227-bed acute care facility. Both full-time and part-time positions are available with flexible schedules and the potential for some remote work. The work schedule is Monday-Friday with no on-site weekends. The company provides free lunch and drinks, and scrubs or business casual attire with a lab coat are provided free of charge.

Requirements

• Registered Dietitian credentials, or eligible for RD certification.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Good time management skills.
• Ability to be a self-starter and a team player.
• Ability to work well with physicians, nursing and ancillary staff.
• Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND).
• For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND).
• Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.
• Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional care for a variety of inpatient units.
• Perform quality improvement initiatives such as patient satisfaction rounds and monthly test trays.
• Educate healthcare team members, including physicians and nurses.
