About The Position

Make a meaningful impact—one patient at a time in a fast-paced acute care environment. Sodexo is seeking a Registered Dietitian to join a dynamic clinical team at SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital - Lake Saint Louis, a 216-bed acute care hospital with a 30-bed acute rehabilitation unit. The position is posted as Dietitian Nutritionist Level I but may be adjusted based on qualifications. New graduates with strong clinical training are encouraged to apply. Requirements

• Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) or RD-eligible (must obtain credential within 120 days of hire)
• Eligible for licensure in Missouri
• Strong knowledge of clinical nutrition and the Nutrition Care Process
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills and a bility to work both independently and as part of a team
• Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
• For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
• Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.
• Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in acute care nutrition preferred
• In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
• In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire

Responsibilities

• Provide medical nutrition therapy and complete nutrition assessments for inpatients across multiple units, including ICU and stepdown
• Deliver patient and family nutrition education based on individualized care plans
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and interdisciplinary teams to support optimal patient outcomes
• Document care using the Nutrition Care Process in the EPIC electronic health record
• Manage daily caseload independently while prioritizing patient needs
