About The Position

Dietitian I – Clinical Nutrition (Full-Time / Days) Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together. Work location: Texas Health Plano, 6200 West Parker Road, Plano, TX 75093-7914. Work hours: Full-Time, Days, 40 hours per week. Clinical Nutrition Department Highlights: Our clinical dietitian team is trained to cover all patient populations from NICU, ICU, and all other units outside of critical care areas. The team is very supportive of each other and very collaborative. We prioritize our daily workload as a team to meet the needs of the most critical patients to provide the best outcomes and care.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics, Food and Nutrition or related area
1 Year health care experience
RD - Registered Dietitian 6 Months
LD - Licensed Dietitian 6 Months

Nice To Haves

Nutrition support experience preferred

Responsibilities

Utilizes each step of the Nutrition Care Process effectively and efficiently to provide Medical Nutrition Therapy to assigned patient populations.
Promotes teamwork and supports organizational goals by demonstrating flexibility in scheduling and shift assignments.
When indicated, willingly takes on work to even out case load or meet schedule deadlines.
Effectively collaborates with peers so that essential shifts are covered.
Promotes safe and effective care through effective communication and workflow practices, including the use of THR specific and High Reliability Organization (HRO) communication and safety strategies.
Promotes Quality in Practice through systematic measurement of outcomes, regular performance evaluations, and continuous improvement.
Maintains competence through ongoing self-evaluation and study aimed at identifying and closing relevant professional knowledge and/or performance gaps.
