About The Position

The Clinical Nutrition Department at Texas Health Plano is seeking a Dietitian I to join their team. This full-time, day shift position involves providing Medical Nutrition Therapy to assigned patient populations. The team is highly supportive and collaborative, prioritizing the needs of critical patients to ensure the best outcomes. The role emphasizes effective use of the Nutrition Care Process, teamwork, communication, and continuous quality improvement.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics, Food and Nutrition or related area
RD - Registered Dietitian 6 Months Req
LD - Licensed Dietitian 6 Months Req

Nice To Haves

1 Year health care experience Pref
Nutrition support experience preferred

Responsibilities

Utilizes each step of the Nutrition Care Process effectively and efficiently to provide Medical Nutrition Therapy to assigned patient populations.
Promotes teamwork and supports organizational goals by demonstrating flexibility in scheduling and shift assignments. When indicated, willingly takes on work to even out case load or meet schedule deadlines.
Effectively collaborates with peers so that essential shifts are covered.
Promotes safe and effective care through effective communication and workflow practices, including the use of THR specific and High Reliability Organization (HRO) communication and safety strategies.
Promotes Quality in Practice through systematic measurement of outcomes, regular performance evaluations, and continuous improvement.
Maintains competence through ongoing self-evaluation and study aimed at identifying and closing relevant professional knowledge and/or performance gaps.
