About The Position

Thrive Nutrition by MealSuite is seeking a Registered Dietitian to provide clinical nutrition care to residents in long-term care and short-term rehabilitation communities. The role combines in-person visits with some remote work and uses technology-enabled tools to reduce administrative work. Consultants have autonomy over which visits they accept and when to schedule them, within community access hours and the agreed scope of work. They choose how to conduct assessments, counseling, and documentation while following professional standards and clinical guidelines. This is an independent contractor (1099) engagement, not employment with MealSuite. Consultants are paid per visit or project at an agreed rate, invoice after each visit, and may serve other clients. They provide and pay for their own equipment, vehicles, phone, and business expenses, and are responsible for their own taxes. They are not eligible for employee benefits.

Requirements

• RD/RDN credential in good standing with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• Active Arizona state license.
• Maintain adequate professional liability insurance.
• Reliable transportation.
• Independent contractor status.

Responsibilities

• Visit the community in person Monday through Friday, with some work completed remotely.
• Complete nutrition assessments following current clinical standards, use professional judgment to recommend interventions, and update care plans.
• Monitor residents’ weight, intake, hydration, and overall nutritional status.
• Provide nutrition education and counseling to residents and their families.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement clinical protocols and best practices for nutrition care.
• Participate in resident care planning meetings.
• Stay current with research and developments in clinical nutrition.
• Conduct quality assurance audits in food safety, dining, and nutritional care; follow up on corrective actions and work with communities to resolve concerns.
• Send a dietitian visit summary and invoice after each visit.
