About The Position
The Joseph "Eddie" Ballard Western Kentucky Veterans Center is a 156-bed long term care facility located in beautiful Hanson, Kentucky that is committed to serving Kentucky’s Veterans by fostering independence, preserving dignity and providing compassionate care. We are currently seeking a Part-time Dietitian Clinical at our facility. Join our team if you want to give back to those who have given so much for our Country. Make a lasting impression on our Veterans assisting them by: Conducts detailed nutritional assessments, Prepares diet histories and evaluations of resident food patterns, Documents nutritional care plans and makes written evaluations, Participates in teams meetings. The ideal candidate will work within a team-centered environment to meet our commitment to serving Kentucky’s Veterans by fostering independence, preserving dignity, and providing compassionate care. This agency is prohibited from hiring employees with convictions identified in 906 KAR 1:190. A fingerprint-supported national background check will be conducted prior to an offer of employment.
Requirements
- Must be licensed as a dietitian by the Ky. Board of Licensure and Certification for Dietitians and Nutritionists
- Must be registered as a dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration, the credentialing agency for the American Dietetic Association
- Must maintain any required licensure(s), certification(s), or other credentials for the length of employment in this classification
Responsibilities
- Conducts detailed nutritional assessments
- Prepares diet histories and evaluations of resident food patterns
- Documents nutritional care plans and makes written evaluations
- Participates in teams meetings
