About The Position

The Dietetics Support position performs a variety of tasks related to feeding patients and customers in the Bothwell Café. The position reports directly to the Dietetics Manager. Duties include food preparation and service, maintaining clean and sanitary work areas and equipment, operating a cash register, taking patient menus according to physician orders, and delivering meal trays.

Requirements

Responsibilities

Pre-prepare and prepare food items for the patient tray line and patient nourishments.
Clean assigned work areas, including sweeping and mopping floors, removing trash and cleaning containers, restocking paper towels and soap dispensers, cleaning grates, and completing other assigned cleaning duties.
Set up and clean up patient and/or cafeteria tray lines with food, beverages, and serving utensils, and store leftover food appropriately in accordance with safety and sanitation standards.
Cook food on the grill and serve customers in the café.
Wash, dry, and sanitize dishes, flatware, pots, and pans.
Record food, refrigeration, and/or dish machine/rinse temperatures.
Operate food equipment and maintain it according to cleaning and sanitizing guidelines.
Operate the cash register.
Answer phones and complete patient menus according to physician orders.
Deliver and return meal trays, and pass trays to patients while fulfilling requests as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
