Dietetic Technician Registered (DTR)- Part Time
About The Position
DiningRD is actively seeking a part-time Dietetic Technician Registered (DTR) to join our team of talented professionals for a consulting role in skilled nursing facilities and/or behavioral health. This role involves bringing a positive change to the lives of seniors in our community. The position requires averaging 8-10 hours per week and may involve some travel. General qualifications include enjoying working with geriatric residents and understanding their needs, being able to read, write, and understand English, being in good mental and physical condition, possessing good communication skills, and being able to work productively with the resident care team, dietary staff, and residents.
Requirements
- Must have NDTR credential awarded from the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
- Must be able to read, write and understand English.

Responsibilities
- Complete the initial, annual, and quarterly nutritional assessments with correlating section K, CAA, and Care plan, according to federal and state guidelines, in a timely manner.
- Describe and Educate residents, staff, and family members on therapeutic & mechanically altered diets.
- Evaluate kitchen for safety & sanitation to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Promote quality food service.
- Initiates and/or completes documentation for residents at nutritional risk (renal/dialysis, significant weight changes, pressure ulcers, tube feeding, etc.).
- Assists with maintaining high-risk resident rosters and consultant RD logs.
- Participate in Wound / Weight Intervention and Nutrition Support Committee.
- Complete monthly QA reports.
- Conduct monthly diet order audits and assist in keeping resident food profile cards, tray cards, nourishment list updated.
- Record food preferences.
- Communicate effectively with Consultant RD.
