About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated candidate for this Dietetic Research Assistant role. This position will be working as a part of the Clinical Research Core (CRC) at the UNC Nutrition Research Institute (NRI). The CRC provides clinical and dietary support to research studies conducted by researchers at the NRI as well as contracted external researchers. The metabolic kitchen component of the CRC offers precision dietary preparation and distribution. Come join our team as we work on innovative dietary studies. Working under the general supervision of the Research Project Managers and Coordinators, the Dietetic Research Assistant will play a key role in dietary focused study interventions. The position will procure and prepare food products for research studies according to protocol, food safety, and sanitation guidelines. This includes strict control of ingredients and precise and accurate measurement. It is also critical to the integrity of the study data to practice the utmost precision in the calculation, labeling, recordkeeping and accuracy of research foods. Additional duties may include participant data collection including but not limited to providing instructions to study participants, distribution of food and/or beverages, and thorough participant data documentation. This position will work closely with various research teams.
