Requirements

  • 2-year degree in Nutrition, Food Service Management, Business Administration or related field. Experience may be considered in lieu of education.
  • Minimum of 1 year of supervisor-level experience in food service, preferably in a long-term care setting.
  • A licensed ability to drive may be necessary.

Nice To Haves

  • RD, CDM, CFPP preferred
  • Experience working in a healthcare environment
  • Servsafe or Food Safety Manager certified
  • Cooking experience

Responsibilities

  • Staff supervision
  • Oversight of meal production and ensuring meal quality, taste, and appearance
  • Retail/cash handling
  • Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable including End of Month, End of End of Year documentation and recordkeeping
  • Catering
  • Vendor management, including responding to equipment and inventory needs
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME): Verification and entry of diet orders and meal selections
  • Daily use of food service management software
  • Adherence to all local, state and federal safety and sanitation codes
  • Effective communication and demonstration of team-based management.
  • Is flexible in assuming other appropriate responsibilities, not noted above.
