About The Position
The Dietary Manager is responsible for the planning, preparation, and service of all diets and the maintenance of accepted standards of practice for the preparation and service of these diets. This is a full-time position.
Requirements
- Certification as Dietary Manager required
Responsibilities
- Orientation and training of new dietary personnel
- Ongoing in-service for dietary personnel
- Supervising the use and care of all equipment
- Maintaining safety, sanitation, and housekeeping procedures pertaining to the dietary department
- Ordering of food supplies
- Receiving and checking incoming supplies
- Planning menus, adhering to budget
- Maintaining accurate time records for dietary employees
- Responsible for the part of the disaster plan that applies to the dietary department
- Inventory of food supplies and equipment monthly
- Planning and preparing meals for special meetings and parties
- Other duties as assigned
