Reporting directly to the Nutrition Services Supervisor, responsible for all aspects of patient and retail meal service. This includes setup and stocking of workstations, food preparation, assembly and service of patient and retail meals, and attention to special requirements for modified and restricted diets for patients. The role also involves delivery and retrieval of patient trays and supplies, cleaning and sanitation of the work area, equipment, dishes, and utensils, and the use of commercial kitchen equipment. A strong understanding and application of safe food handling practices are essential, along with maintaining safety and sanitation standards. Effective communication and providing excellent patient and family-centered care are key aspects of this position.
