Reporting directly to the Nutrition Services Supervisor, responsible for all aspects of patient and retail meal service. This includes setup and stocking of workstations, food preparation, assembly and service of patient and retail meals, and attention to special requirements for modified and restricted diets for patient meals. The role also involves the delivery of patient trays and supplies to patient care areas, retrieval of trays and return to the kitchen, and cleaning and sanitation of the work area, equipment, dishes, utensils, pots, and pans. This position requires the use of commercial kitchen equipment, knowledge and application of safe food handling practices, and maintaining safety and sanitation standards of the work area. Effective communication and providing excellent patient and family-centered care and service are essential.
