About The Position

This role involves leading food preparation to ensure meals are safe, tasty, and tailored to each resident’s dietary needs. The Dietary Director will supervise and schedule dietary staff, manage inventory and supplies, and ensure the kitchen is compliant, clean, and efficient. This position also requires coordination with other departments for special meals and nutritional services, maintaining documentation, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. The Director will also serve as the point person for inspections, audits, and quality assurance.

Requirements

Completed an approved dietary manager’s course and hold all required certifications.
Can confidently lead a team and juggle staff schedules.
Organized, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
Can lift up to 50 lbs, and don’t mind being on your feet much of the day.
Strong communicator.

Nice To Haves

At least 1 year of experience in a long-term care facility dietary department.
Bilingual in Spanish and English.
Familiarity with PCC software.
Strong math skills for managing portions, costs, and budgets.
Experience with quality assurance and interdisciplinary team (IDT) meetings.

Serve as the go-to person for inspections, audits, and quality assurance.
