About The Position

The Dietary Director will lead food preparation, ensuring meals are safe, tasty, and tailored to each resident’s dietary needs. This role involves supervising and scheduling dietary staff, managing inventory and supplies, and ensuring kitchen compliance and efficiency. The Director will also coordinate special meals and nutritional services with other departments, maintain documentation, and ensure adherence to state, federal, and health regulations. This position serves as the primary contact for inspections, audits, and quality assurance.

Requirements

Completion of an approved dietary manager’s course and all required certifications.
Ability to confidently lead a team and manage staff schedules.
Organizational skills, dependability, and comfort in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and be on feet for much of the day.
Strong communication skills.

Nice To Haves

At least 1 year of experience in a long-term care facility dietary department.
Bilingual in Spanish and English.
Familiarity with PCC software.
Strong math skills for managing portions, costs, and budgets.
Experience with quality assurance and interdisciplinary team (IDT) meetings.
