About The Position
White Oak Shelby is hiring a Dietary Director. Great food. Great leadership. Great care. White Oak Manor of Shebly is looking for an energetic, organized, and caring Dietary Director to lead our Dietary Services team! In Long-Term Care, dining is about so much more than serving a meal. It’s comfort, conversation, familiar favorites, and one of the highlights of our residents’ day. We’re looking for a leader who can help make every dining experience a great one! As our Dietary Director, you’ll be the heartbeat of our Dietary Services department!
Requirements
- Must have completed Certified Dietary Manager
Nice To Haves
- Long-Term Care, healthcare dietary, or food service management experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and support our Dietary Services team
- Oversee daily food preparation and meal service
- Help create enjoyable dining experiences for our residents
- Ensure resident diets, preferences, and nutritional needs are followed
- Maintain excellent food safety, sanitation, and infection prevention practices
- Ensure compliance with CMS guidelines and DHEC regulations
- Manage staffing, schedules, training, and department operations
- Oversee food and supply inventory while helping control costs and waste
- Maintain required records, logs, and documentation
- Maintain staffing schedule and Paycom information on department
- Keep the department organized, compliant, and survey-ready
- Partner with Nursing, Administration, and other departments to provide exceptional resident care
