About The Position
White Oak Shelby is hiring a Dietary Director. White Oak Manor of Shelby is looking for an energetic, organized, and caring Dietary Director to lead our Dietary Services team! In Long-Term Care, dining is about so much more than serving a meal. It’s comfort, conversation, familiar favorites, and one of the highlights of our residents’ day. We’re looking for a leader who can help make every dining experience a great one!
Requirements
- Must have completed Certified Dietary Manager
Nice To Haves
- Long-Term Care, healthcare dietary, or food service management experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and support our Dietary Services team
- Oversee daily food preparation and meal service
- Help create enjoyable dining experiences for our residents
- Ensure resident diets, preferences, and nutritional needs are followed
- Maintain excellent food safety, sanitation, and infection prevention practices
- Ensure compliance with CMS guidelines and DHEC regulations
- Manage staffing, schedules, training, and department operations
- Oversee food and supply inventory while helping control costs and waste
- Maintain required records, logs, and documentation
- Maintain staffing schedule and Paycom information on department
- Keep the department organized, compliant, and survey-ready
- Partner with Nursing, Administration, and other departments to provide exceptional resident care
