About The Position

Genesis Health Care Center is looking for a Dietary Cook. This position is available for part-time days and full-time evenings. Our organization is family-owned and dedicated to providing a safe and pleasant home for adults with mental illness, aiming to enhance their quality of life. The role involves ensuring kitchen duties are completed on the weekend shift in compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and energetic.

Responsibilities

Prepare meals and snacks according to the menu using standardized recipes.
Serve residents in a timely and polite manner following safety and sanitation guidelines.
Store food properly, clean equipment, kitchen and dining area using safety and infection control procedures.
Proper use of equipment, supplies, and dietary goods.
Maintaining a safe work environment by following safety practices within the center and immediately reporting any safety concerns or issues to the Facility Administrator.
Participate in staff development, attend in-service training and maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that promotes cooperation and teamwork with co-workers, supervisors, residents and visitors according to the organization’s policies and procedures and code of ethics.
