About The Position

Rossmoor Post Acute is seeking a reliable, hardworking, and compassionate Dietary Cook to join our team. As a Dietary Cook, you will help prepare and serve high-quality meals that meet the nutritional and dietary needs of our residents while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness.

Requirements

Previous cooking experience in a healthcare, skilled nursing, hospital, restaurant, or commercial kitchen preferred.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
Ability to prepare meals according to therapeutic and modified diets.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Food Handler Card preferred or ability to obtain as required.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook meals according to approved menus, recipes, and prescribed diets.
Follow therapeutic, modified, and special diet requirements as directed.
Ensure meals are properly portioned, prepared, and served on schedule.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and food preparation area.
Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations.
Follow proper food storage, labeling, and rotation procedures.
Monitor and document food temperatures and production records.
Assist with inventory, stocking, and receiving food deliveries.
Work closely with the dietary team to ensure timely and efficient meal service.
Follow all applicable federal, state, local, and facility food safety and sanitation regulations.
