Prepares food in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, with established policies and procedures. The schedule is for weekend evenings from 2-8pm with alternating Fridays. This role requires treating all residents with dignity and respect, promoting and protecting residents' rights, and establishing a culture of compliance by adhering to all facility policies and procedures. It also involves complying with standards of business conduct, and state/federal regulations and guidelines, following appropriate safety and hygiene measures, and maintaining confidentiality of protected health information. The position requires reporting noncompliance, retaliation, discrimination, and any allegations of abuse, neglect, or mistreatment of residents. It also involves protecting residents from abuse, cooperating with investigations, and reporting occupational exposures. Participation in life safety and emergency drills, fulfilling responsibilities during emergency plan activation, and reporting work-related injuries are also part of the role. Maintaining food storage areas, ensuring department cleanliness, assisting with inventory, and ensuring food and supplies are readily available are key responsibilities. Recommending equipment and supply needs to the Director of Food Services is also expected.
