About The Position

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is hiring a full-time Cook to prepare nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility. The role supports HCSG’s commitment to positively impacting communities and enhancing customer and resident experiences. The starting pay rate is $19.00 per hour, with wages varying based on objective factors such as location, years of experience, staffing needs, and other business reasons. The position requires compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies and residency within the service area.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership.
Comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push and pull up to 50 pounds.
Able to stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
Able to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
Able to work around food and cleaning products.
Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification, as required by state or county law.
Residency within the service area is required.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience as a cook or in food preparation is preferred.
May be required to complete an approved sanitation and safety course.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes.
Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet HCSG standards.
Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines and maintain a clean, orderly kitchen.
Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies.
Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
Perform other duties as assigned.
