About The Position

As a Dietary Assistant, you will assist with preparing and serving meals to patients and residents. You will work closely with the dietary team to ensure meals are nutritious and meet each person's dietary needs. The role also involves maintaining kitchen and dining areas, helping manage food and supply inventory, communicating with patients, residents, and staff, and following safety and sanitation guidelines.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift, move, push, pull, or carry at least 50 pounds to a height of at least 3 feet and for a distance of at least 50 feet.
• Ability to stand and/or walk for more than 8 hours per day.
• Ability to bend and/or stoop for more than 1 hour at a time.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a dietary or food service role.
