About The Position

Vancrest seeks a Dietary Aide to help provide residents with a high-quality dining experience and nutritious meals. The role supports food preparation and service, dietary procedures, documentation, and kitchen cleaning. Wages start at $12 per hour and increase based on experience; the hiring manager determines the wage during an interview.

Responsibilities

• Review menus before food preparation.
• Inspect special-diet trays to ensure they are correct.
• Complete required forms and reports and submit them to the Director of Food Services.
• Coordinate dietary service with other departments as necessary.
• Work with the facility’s Dietician, Dietetic Technician, and other Supervisors, and implement recommended changes as required.
• Ensure dietary procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.
• Help establish the food service production line to ensure meals are prepared on time.
• Process diet changes and new diets received from Nursing Services and approved by the Director of Food Service.
• Perform dishwashing and cleaning procedures.
• Ensure utensils and other items are available for the next meal.
• Help inventory and store incoming food and supplies as necessary.
