Dietary Aide
About The Position
Join Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) as a Dietary Aide preparing and serving meals for residents in a long-term care facility. The role supports HCSG’s commitment to positively impacting communities and enhancing customer and resident experiences. Dietary Aides contribute to providing nutritious meals as part of a supportive team. The position involves assisting with food preparation, serving meals according to residents’ dietary needs and portion sizes, and maintaining clean and sanitary kitchen and dining areas. It also requires following food safety guidelines, interacting positively with residents, staff, and guests, and completing other assigned duties.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in food service or a kitchen environment is preferred but not required.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Maintain a positive attitude and effectively communicate with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership to perform daily tasks.
- Comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
- Ability to lift or carry up to 30 pounds and push or pull up to 50 pounds; stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
- Ability to work around food and cleaning products.
- Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification is required where mandated by state or county law.
- Residency within the service area is required.

Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping vegetables and preparing salads.
- Serve meals to residents according to dietary needs and portion sizes.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
