About The Position

Focused Post Acute Care Partners is seeking a Dietary Aide for Focused Care at Waxahachie. The Dietary Aide helps with meal preparation, delivery, meal service, and clean-up in accordance with regulatory standards and the policies and procedures of the Department of Food & Nutrition Services. The role also includes maintaining clean and safe work areas, following sanitation and infection-control procedures, using equipment and cleaning products safely, and providing positive customer service to residents, families, guests, and team members. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and speak English, communicate effectively, and carry out verbal and/or written instructions.
• Food Handler's Certification must be presented during orientation and before working in the kitchen.
• Ability to safely push, pull, lift, bend, kneel, and reach, and lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in a healthcare setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the cook with food preparation and delivery, and/or collect and wash dishes and utensils according to shift assignments.
• Handle chemicals and cleaning compounds properly, using personal protective equipment and following safety guidelines.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas in accordance with sanitation, safety, and infection-control procedures.
• Perform scheduled cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing walls and equipment while wearing PPE as instructed.
• Use equipment safely and report equipment needing service or repair immediately.
• Follow appropriate workplace behavior and the Department of Food & Nutrition Services dress code.
• Maintain regular attendance in accordance with the company attendance policy.
• Promote positive customer service with residents, family members, guests, and team members.
• Perform other duties as needed.
