About The Position

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is hiring a part-time Dietary Aide to prepare and serve meals for residents in a long-term care facility. The role supports nutritious meal service while helping maintain clean, sanitary kitchen and dining areas. Dietary Aides follow food safety guidelines, serve residents according to their dietary needs and portion sizes, and provide positive customer service to residents, staff, and guests. The role requires the ability to perform repetitive tasks, work around food and cleaning products, and meet the stated physical demands. A current ServSafe or Food Handler certification is required when required by state or county law. Residency within the service area is also required.

Requirements

Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership.
Comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
Able to lift or carry up to 30 pounds and push or pull up to 50 pounds.
Able to stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
Able to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
Able to work around food and cleaning products.
Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification, when required by state or county law.
Residency within the service area required.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience in food service or a kitchen environment preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation, including chopping vegetables and preparing salads.
Serve meals to residents according to dietary needs and portion sizes.
Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas.
Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
Perform other duties as assigned.
