About The Position

The Dietary Aide provides assistance with food service functions to ensure patients’ dining needs are met in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards. Daily work includes helping with food preparation and serving while maintaining clean and sanitary conditions. This role is presented as an opportunity for someone interested in a future in culinary, nutrition, or dietetics, with opportunities to grow and work as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Requirements

• High school graduation or equivalent is preferred.
• Prior health-care experience is preferred.
• Prior food services experience is preferred.
• Ability to concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of experience working in a long-term care facility is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation and serving.
• Maintain clean and sanitary conditions.
• Help ensure patients’ dining needs are met in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.
• Implement and interpret the department’s programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.
• Maintain professional working relationships with associates, vendors, and others.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude toward patients.
