About The Position
Bethany Northwest is a non-profit organization with nearly 100 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Bethany is seeking a passionate and motivated Dietary Aide to join their team at the Silver Lake facility. This role is part of a progressive culinary team that produces quality food in a nursing facility environment. The position offers a generous benefit package and competitive salary.
Requirements
- Ability to understand and follow instructions in English.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to perform simple arithmetic.
- Ability to understand measurements and conversions.
- Experience in a kitchen environment.
- Requires empathy and compassion for the elderly.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a skilled nursing facility kitchen is advantageous.
- Ability to plan, organize and set up trays and plates in accordance with diet orders and interpret specifications and standards.
- Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisor and peers.
Responsibilities
- Work on the tray line for food production.
- Build food trays and check them a third time before they are given to residents.
- Work on weekends as well as weekdays.
