About The Position

The Dietary Aide assists with preparing meals and snacks and cleaning dining areas. The role also supports receiving, rotating, and storing food and supplies and involves daily interactions with residents. The Dietary Aide cleans work areas and washes dishes, pans, and utensils; follows the facility’s infection-control, safety, and sanitation procedures; and keeps food-storage and work areas clean and safe while ensuring equipment and supplies are properly maintained. Food must be handled in accordance with sanitary regulations, and safety or sanitation violations must be reported immediately to a supervisor.

Requirements

Ability to walk, bend, lift, push, pull, turn, stoop, and stretch.
Ability to unload and stock groceries on shelves of various heights and lift large items up to 50 pounds.
Ability to write and record data and read and follow oral and written instructions in English.
Ability to remain calm and work efficiently during emergencies.
Ability to communicate professionally with residents, staff, and family members.

Responsibilities
