About The Position

Roscoe Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is seeking a Dietary Aide to help provide high-quality meal service and maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming dining environment for residents, visitors, and staff. The role supports meal preparation and service, sanitation, food safety, inventory, and resident dietary needs. The facility is part of The McGuire Group, which provides skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and long-term care services throughout New York State.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to provide courteous and professional service to residents, families, and staff.
Dependable, organized, and committed to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Responsibilities

Serve meals according to resident dietary needs, portion guidelines, and established meal schedules.
Assist with preparing, portioning, and distributing meals, snacks, beverages, and nourishments.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, dining areas, equipment, dishes, utensils, and workspaces.
Operate dietary equipment safely and accurately record food, beverage, and equipment temperatures.
Assist with inventory, stocking, receiving, and proper storage of food and supplies.
Transport meal carts and food trucks throughout the facility safely and promptly.
Accommodate resident preferences and special dietary requests whenever possible.
Follow food safety, infection control, HIPAA, safety, and facility policies and procedures.
Report equipment issues, hazards, accidents, and resident concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
