Dietary Aide Part-time Gardens Assisted Living
About The Position
The Gardens Assisted Living at Luther Park Community is looking for a part-time dietary aide. This is a perfect position if you are looking for a second job or just want something part-time. We have an immediate opening for a part time dietary aide to work one weekday and every other weekend from 11am - 7pm. Students must be at least 16 years of age. The Dietary Aide is responsible for performing various duties in and around the kitchen including preparation of various food portions, presentation and delivery of meals to residents. Dietary Aides are responsible for the sanitary condition of tableware and working area and discarding broken and chipped tableware.
Requirements
- Must have High school diploma or GED
- Must be able to read, write and follow written and oral directions in English
- Must successfully complete background check, physical, drug screen and TB test
- Must be at least 16 years of age
Nice To Haves
- Previous food service experience desirable but not necessary
Responsibilities
- Pour beverages as requested by residents
- Complete simple food preparation tasks
- Cooperate in keeping entire kitchen clean and orderly at all times
- Assist with meal service to residents in dining area and pick up dirty trays after meal is served
- Wipe dining tables following meals
- Assemble, prepare for washing and wash dishes.
- Store clean dishes in proper place
- Assist with general cleaning and food preparation tasks as needed
- Assist with care of floors in kitchen by sweeping and/or mopping when food is not being prepared or served
