The Dietary Aide is responsible for various tasks within the dietary department, with assignments determined by the needs of the shift. This role reports to the Cook and Dietary Supervisor. The position requires the ability to learn food service routines quickly, set up meal trays, wash dishes, assist with serving meals, and prepare nourishments and snacks. Responsibilities also include maintaining kitchen cleanliness, managing inventory by putting away groceries, and ensuring a sanitary work environment. The Dietary Aide will also assist with training new dietary staff and must be able to cooperate effectively with personnel in all departments.
