About The Position
South Port Square, a 40-acre campus in Port Charlotte, is seeking a hospitality-driven Dietary Aide to join their dedicated team. This role is responsible for preparing and serving therapeutic diet trays to health center residents in accordance with posted therapeutic diet menus. The team is committed to making a positive impact on residents' lives and fostering a fulfilling senior living career.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Can understand measurements and conversions.
- Are team players!
- Can generate a warm, friendly, and caring manner on first impression.
- Can communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and visitors.
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in nursing home food service preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepares therapeutic desserts and salads as required.
- Serves meals in the health center.
- Sets up tables in the health center dining room and breaks down same after meal.
- Transport hot and cold foods to and from the health center.
- Transport all required nonfood items to and from the health center.
- Maintains station equipment and work area in safe and sanitary condition.
- Maintains acceptable standards of personal hygiene and complies with department dress code.
- Attends in-service training and education sessions as assigned.
- Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
