About The Position

Bethany of the Northwest, a nonprofit, church-owned organization, is hiring a part-time Dietary Aide for its Silver Crest assisted living facility in Everett, Washington. The role supports dietary services and meal quality for residents. The schedule is Tuesday through Saturday from 3:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., totaling 22.5 hours per week, at $20 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED; a GED is desirable.
Current Washington State food handler’s permit.
Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Ability to function independently and demonstrate flexibility and personal integrity.
Ability to work effectively with residents, personnel, and support agencies.
Patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, and willingness to incorporate these qualities into existing practices.
Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret Dietary Department programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.

Nice To Haves

Experience serving nutritious meals in large quantities for residents.
Friendly attitude and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

Coordinate dietary services with other departments as necessary.
Ensure dietary procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.
Assist with inventory and related duties.
Assist in developing methods to determine the quality and quantity of food served.
Report accidents and incidents according to established policy.
