About The Position

The Dietary Aide assists with food service functions to help ensure patients’ dining needs are met in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards. Daily work includes assisting with food preparation and serving while maintaining clean and sanitary conditions. The role is part of a multidisciplinary team and supports the department’s programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

• Concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment.

Nice To Haves

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Prior health-care experience preferred.
• Prior food services experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation and serving.
• Maintain clean and sanitary conditions.
• Implement and interpret the department’s programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.
• Maintain professional working relationships with associates, vendors, and others.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude toward patients.
• Use reasoning skills and good judgment.
