About The Position

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is hiring a Dietary Aide to prepare and serve meals for residents in a long-term care facility. The role contributes to providing nutritious meals and enhancing residents’ and customers’ experiences as part of a supportive team. The Dietary Aide also helps maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen and dining environment, follows food safety guidelines, and provides positive customer service to residents, staff, and guests.

Requirements

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Previous experience in food service or a kitchen environment is preferred but not required.
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
Maintain a positive attitude and effectively communicate with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership to perform daily tasks.
Comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
Ability to lift or carry up to 30 pounds and push or pull up to 50 pounds; stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods; and perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
Ability to work around food and cleaning products.
Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification is required when mandated by state or county law.
Residency within the service area is required.

Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation, including chopping vegetables and preparing salads.
Serve meals to residents according to dietary needs and portion sizes.
Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas.
Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
Perform other duties as assigned.
