About The Position

The Dietary Aide joins the culinary team at Northeast Georgia Rehab, assisting patients with menu selection and timely meal delivery. The role ensures patients receive meals that match their orders and dietary requirements, provides customer service, and helps prepare meal items and maintain efficient department operations. Applicants must pass a background check and drug screen and provide proof of employment eligibility in the United States. Many healthcare facilities require employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have an approved exemption. Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Practice good personal hygiene and be neatly groomed in a uniform.
Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment.
Pass a background check and drug screen and provide proof of employment eligibility in the U.S.
Be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods, stoop and bend frequently, and lift up to 50 pounds.
Operate equipment necessary to perform the essential functions of the job.

Nice To Haves

Culinary experience, such as in cooking, a commercial kitchen, fast food, hotel operations, or healthcare.
Veterans and candidates with military experience are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Ensure each patient receives an accurate meal that matches their order and diet requirements.
Provide excellent customer service to patients.
Deliver and collect patient menus in a timely manner.
Prepare cold and hot items and condiments for meal times.
Follow the facility’s health and safety policies and procedures.
Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently.
