About The Position

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is hiring a Dietary Aide to prepare and serve meals for residents in a long-term care facility. The role supports HCSG’s commitment to positively impacting communities and enhancing customer and resident experiences. The Dietary Aide works with a supportive team to provide nutritious meals and maintain a clean, safe food-service environment. The offered starting rate is $14.50 per hour; actual hourly pay depends on applicant qualifications, experience, education, and the specific needs and requirements of the facility served.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous food-service or kitchen-environment experience is preferred but not required.
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership to perform daily tasks.
Comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
Able to lift or carry up to 30 pounds and push or pull up to 50 pounds; stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods; and perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
Able to work around food and cleaning products.
Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification is required where required by state or county law.
Residency within the service area is required.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in food service or a kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation, including chopping vegetables and preparing salads.
Serve meals to residents according to dietary needs and portion sizes.
Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas.
Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests while providing excellent customer service.
Perform other duties as assigned.
