Requirements

  • Experience working in a dietary department, preferably in an assisted living or nursing home setting.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Ability to help residents with mealtime needs and provide customer service
  • Experience in food production and service.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and serving of meals, snacks, and beverages in the dietary department.
  • Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas to ensure a clean and sanitary environment.
  • Monitor and maintain food safety and hygiene standards in all aspects of food production and service.
  • Provide help to residents with mealtime needs, including feeding and drinking assistance.
  • Work effectively with the food service team to ensure efficient and timely meal delivery.
  • Maintain a positive and friendly demeanor, providing excellent customer service to residents and staff
  • Participate in kitchen activities, such as food production and cleaning, as needed.
  • Follow dietary guidelines and special requests to ensure resident satisfaction and health.
