The Dietary Aide will follow department procedure for tray assembly, utilize weights and measures to assure proper portioning, and assist on the tray line and deliver trays to patients. They will follow all sanitation and food safety guidelines, wash dishes, and coordinate the area to ensure timeliness of duties. This role may involve operating a cash register when working in the cafeteria and assisting in the training of new staff members. The Dietary Aide is expected to attend department-specific in-service programs and mandatory hospital-wide programs.
