About The Position
Performs a variety of duties related to procurement, preparation, distribution and clean-up of food for patients and staff, while maintaining a sanitary and orderly work area. Responsible for planning patient menus in coordination with the dietician. Assists in Materials Management functions, as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years experience in food service/health care dietary dept.
- High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities
- Prepare food for patients, and others as needed, according to identified dietary requirements.
- Deliver food to patients in a timely fashion.
- Meet with consulting dietician to coordinate meal planning and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness of food prep and storage areas.
- Create and place orders for food and supplies as needed.
- Restock refrigerators and dry food storage areas in remote locations, if applicable.
- Maintain adherence to regulatory agency standards as well as departmental policies and procedures.
- Maintain all required food service logs.
- Assist with medical/surgical/housekeeping supply ordering, receiving and distribution functions, as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
