About The Position

The Dietary Aide/Cook will assist with production of food for patient menus, daily sanitation, tray line, delivery and pickup of patient trays, cooking and plating of meals for patients, guests and staff. The Dietary Aide/Cook reports to the Food Service Manager.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Previous food service experience, preferred
  • Self-starter who takes initiative, is open minded and a team player.
  • Maintain a positive attitude with good energy.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare the evening meal trays.
  • Assist with dish washing procedures.
  • Plan and prepare production schedule and prepares the foods necessary to fill diet prescriptions during tray service.
  • Wash dishes and trays.
  • Complete required sanitation procedures.
  • Deliver and pick up patient trays to and from patient care areas.
  • Completes other duties as assigned.
