About The Position

Burnett Medical Center is currently looking for a part-time Cook/Dietary Aide to work in our busy dietary department. This is a benefit-eligible position. The role involves preparing meals, cooking and serving nursing home residents, hospital patients, employees and the public, following recipes, practices and procedures, and complying with regulatory requirements. Responsibilities also include cleaning and cross-training for positions to fill-in for vacations, etc.

Requirements

• Must be able to follow and understand recipes, written instructions, and labels
• Must be able to communicate with dietary personnel
• Must be 18 years old
• Dependable
• Must be able to stand on feet for several hours at a time
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds at a time
• Must be able to stand room temperatures up to at least 90 degrees
• Must be able to operate heavy equipment

Nice To Haves

• One year of institutional cooking experience preferred
• Will train the right candidate
