Requirements

1 Year Hospital food service experience preferred.
Knowledge of HealthCare standard diets
Servsafe certified a plus

Responsibilities

Work various trayline positions under the supervision of the Food and Nutrition Management team.
Visit patients for menu selections.
Ensure tray accuracy, diet accuracy, and timeliness of service.
Clean assigned work areas, including sweeping and mopping floors and refrigerators.
Restock food and non-food supplies in work areas.
May prepare patient snacks and/or deliver snacks/supplies to patient care units.
Remove garbage and boxes from the department per policy and procedure.
Record temperatures of food, freezers, and refrigerators daily.
Work in the dish room, with pots and pans, and on the trayline as necessary.
May deliver trays to patients as needed.
Sweep and mop floors in the serving and dining areas.
May be cross-trained for other positions within the department.
Exhibit excellent customer service skills in all interactions with patients, visitors, physicians, co-workers, hospital and supervisory staff.
Recognize the signs and symptoms of stroke and call a stroke alert overhead.
Verbalize the stroke alert process.
Maintain currency in stroke knowledge by completing the annual 1-hour online training.
