Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Accurately input and update patient dietary information, including allergies, restrictions, and preferences, into the dietary management system.
  • Coordinate with nursing staff and dietitians to verify and clarify dietary orders and ensure compliance with prescribed nutritional plans.
  • Prepare and distribute meal tickets or labels to kitchen staff based on patient dietary requirements and daily meal schedules.
  • Respond promptly to inquiries from patients, staff, and dietary personnel regarding meal options, substitutions, and special dietary needs.
  • Maintain organized records and documentation related to dietary services, including meal counts, special requests, and inventory tracking.
  • Assist in monitoring food service operations to ensure adherence to health and safety standards and report any discrepancies or concerns.
  • Support the dietary team in administrative tasks such as scheduling, ordering supplies, and compiling reports on dietary service activities.
