About The Position

Hill International Trucks is seeking experienced diesel technicians to join their team in St. Clairsville. This is a long-term career opportunity with a family-owned company that has been in business since 1897. They are looking for individuals who take pride in their work, are team-oriented, and have experience working on Class 8 trucks.

Requirements

Professional diesel or heavy truck repair experience
Class 8 truck experience strongly preferred
Strong electrical and diagnostic ability is a plus
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
Valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

International, Cummins, Peterbilt, Kenworth, Freightliner, Mack, or Volvo experience
CDL Class B preferred but not required
ASE certifications preferred but not required
Relevant work experience may be substituted for formal technical education.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair medium- and heavy-duty trucks
Perform engine, electrical, aftertreatment, brake, suspension, drivetrain, and other mechanical repairs
Complete work accurately and efficiently according to dealership and manufacturer standards
Use diagnostic software and service information to troubleshoot vehicle concerns
Inspect vehicles and identify additional safety or service needs
Communicate needed parts and additional repairs to the service team
Properly document all repairs and recommendations
Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training
Road test vehicles when required
Maintain a clean and safe work area
Properly care for dealership-owned tools and equipment
Assist less-experienced technicians when needed
