About The Position
Gordon Food Service is seeking a Diesel Technician for their fleet shops across the US. These shops maintain over 3,000 tractors and trailers (reefer units) for the company's private, company-owned fleet. The role involves ensuring the reliability of vehicles that deliver daily to restaurants, healthcare operations, and schools. The company offers extensive onboarding and continuous training, pays hourly rates for completed work, and provides safety lifts, an organized parts room, and heavier specialty tools. Technicians are part of a skilled team that emphasizes respect, expertise, and professional development.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Valid, unrestricted state-issued driver's license.
- Diesel tractor trailer experience preferred.
- Ability to communicate in English – writing, speaking, and reading.
- Physical requirements include lifting up to 100 pounds.
