About The Position

This role involves performing routine preventative maintenance and safety inspections on diesel equipment. The technician will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing various systems including electrical, refrigeration, pneumatic, brakes, and drive trains. Additionally, the position requires maintaining a clean work environment, adhering to company and regulatory standards, and accurately managing maintenance records. The job is based in Anchorage and is an onsite position.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or some college or completion of technical training or certification and two years’ experience in motor coach maintenance, or equivalent directly related work experience.
  • Current or ability to attain within one year of employment CFC and brake inspector certification.
  • Current or ability to attain an Alaska Driver’s license with Commercial Driver's License B endorsement.
  • Suitable driving record required (Motor Vehicle Report will be requested).
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test and will become part of the random drug test pool.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in the use of computer business applications, with working knowledge of computerized maintenance inventory and laptop diagnostics.
  • Ability to prioritize work, establish and meet deadlines, maintain an attention to accuracy and details while working in a team environment.
  • Ability to communicate clearly verbally and written to employees and management.
  • Proficiency in reading electric and pneumatic schematics, maintenance literature, and parts diagrams.

Responsibilities

  • Routinely perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical systems, refrigeration systems, pneumatic systems, brakes, and drive trains.
  • Clean and maintain maintenance facilities and areas according to established Company standards.
  • Apply federal, state, and Company regulations, policies, and procedures to all tasks.
  • Maintain maintenance records in the appropriate logs.
  • Perform maintenance duties required by departmental supervision.
