About The Position

Gordon Truck Centers is seeking skilled Diesel Technicians for their Coburg, OR team. This role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. The position offers schedule flexibility for the evening shift, with options for five 8-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts. Requirements

Diesel technician or heavy-duty mechanical experience
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Quality-Focused Workmanship
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Commitment to safety and quality
Mechanics frequently lift up to 75 pounds and must have a full complement of tools.

Nice To Haves

Working knowledge of engines, transmissions, differential, A/C and suspensions.

Responsibilities

Run diagnostic tests and analyze results.
Repair or replace vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions, and braking systems efficiently and accurately.
Determine unit condition by conducting inspections & diagnostic tests, identifying deficiencies.
Able to read schematics for electrical and air systems.
Develop technical skills through training opportunities.
Test equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications; make necessary adjustments if required.
Ensure the cleanliness of the shop.
Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment.
Work as part of a team while delivering quality workmanship.
