We’re looking for skilled Diesel Technicians to join our team! If you have strong diagnostic and mechanical skills and take pride in keeping diesel equipment running safely and efficiently, we want to hear from you. Evening Shift — Schedule Flexibility! We understand that one schedule doesn’t work for everyone. Qualified candidates hired for the evening shift may have the option to choose the schedule that best fits their needs: Five 8-hour shifts, or Four 10-hour shifts. That means you can choose the schedule that works best for your lifestyle while doing work you’re proud of. At GTC, you will be working with cutting-edge industry technologies. Requirements

  • Diesel technician or heavy-duty mechanical experience
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Quality-Focused Workmanship
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to safety and quality
  • Mechanics frequently lift up to 75 pounds and must have a full complement of tools.

Responsibilities

  • Run diagnostic tests and analyze results.
  • Repair or replace vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions, and braking systems efficiently and accurately.
  • Working knowledge of engines, transmissions, differential, A/C and suspensions.
  • Determine unit condition by conducting inspections & diagnostic tests, identifying deficiencies.
  • Able to read schematics for electrical and air systems.
  • Develop technical skills through training opportunities.
  • Test equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications; make necessary adjustments if required.
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the shop.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment.
  • Work as part of a team while delivering quality workmanship.
